Our gorgeous Juliette and Matt

Wow, take a look at our stunning Juliette who married her dishy groom Matt in Italy last month. Juliette wore a stunning gown by Stephanie Allin called Elysia, we did however do a number of bespoke changes to make the gown a real one off. Its a soft dupion silk with cream antique style lace bodice with a victorian style lace up back, perfect for a hot climate as its so light.

After Juliette and Matt had finished their photographs in the streets of Cortona thrilling the locals by look of it, Juliette took off her veil and replaced it with a gorgeous crystal and pearl head band by Polly Edwards called AMBER. it was just perfect with her soft and feminine hair style.

I know we are biased but we all think she looks totally breathtaking and Matt if you read this, you are a lucky man.

Congratulations to them both, and Juliette dont be a stranger, pop in with that album soon.

We were absolutely delighted to see Suzanne in this weeks OK. Months of secrecy over her gown, many fittings, weight loss due to more skating on ice and then we sat back and totally admired how truly stunning Suzanne Shaw looked when she married Jason King.

Suzanne chose a gorgeous gown by SASSI HOLFORD, we made a lot of bespoke changes for her and when it was finished she looked every inch a princess. it is made from the softest tulle, has the most glorious fitted corset and really on trend straps in the same tulle as her gown. We added extra crystals to the skirt which totally sparkled when she walked.

So go and buy OK and just see if you think she is the most gorgeous bride in this weeks copy, I know I am biased but she looks totally stunning .

VINTAGE WEDDING JEWELLERY

What can I say other than I WANT ONE ! and you will too.

We have just bought the most incredible Jewellery that I think I have ever seen. Not only is it totally jaw dropping to look at, it is hand made with the most glorious and eclectic pieces of original period jewellery. Pieces of antique necklaces, buttons, brooches and earrings, reworked with silver to make the most unique and stylish designs.

I am not joking when I say that I almost cried last week letting someone buy a necklace. Not right is it, my girls remind me that I am running a shop and I know they are right but these pieces just have to go to the right girl.. Thankfully the lady in question had bought a stunning Stewart Parvin gown and this necklace was simply a "must have" and so totally right for her dress. She had been shopping for months and popped in to see what new stock we had, and found our new collection, she almost had to prize the necklace out of my hands.

The same thing happened the next day with a tiara in the most gorgeous pink and cream and ivory antique pearls all set on a twisted wire and lovingly bejewelled with crystals and diamante brooches. The young lady in question was in a SASSI HOLFORD gown called Camilla with an antique rose silk sash and of course this wonderful tiara was resplendent on her head. She bought her gown and I took almost 20 minutes to wrap the tiara as I had only had it in a day and hadn't finished admiring it. Finally, I congratulated this beaming young woman and watch her leave and walk across the crossing smiling and looking at her Ellie Sanderson bag which held her heir loom tiara. I was bereft. I phoned the girls straight up and begged them to make me another similar one infact I begged them to come back and bring everything they had with them.

Sounds all very unhealthy and you are desperate to know who this is well I suppose I should tell you, although I do feel like keeping it a secret to protect the total exclusivity.

Its two wonderful ladies who are called Magpie Vintage and I totally love them. Not only are these ladies talented, they are local and I love the fact that all this jewellery is a mixture of vintage and is locally made. Something a little heart warming about being Eco-Gorgeous isn`t there.

Ellie Sanderson has been buying new designer gowns

EASTER PARTY -9TH APRIL 5-9PM

After many request we are having another party, our last one in February was great fun and became fully booked really early so we thought we would have another one just before the Easter weekend.

This one will be great, we have three guest designers, first off Is Nikki Leaver our very own and much loved jewellery designer, bring pictures, bring fabric and bring your imagination to challenge Nikki. She can make what ever you need from hair pins to hair combs, necklaces to match and earings to dangle. We also have Beverly from Pure Couture , Beverly has made an incredible reputation for herself making the most amazing and striking or classic and elegant mother of the bride outfits. So if your mum is a bit stuck, give us a call and we can book her in to see Beverly.

Then we have our newest Designer, Harriet Wilde. Harriet makes the most amazing bridal shoes, Harriet will be here with her entire 2009 collection ensuring that the shop will be crammed full of every style of shoe you can think of.

And as ever, me, Ruth , Joanna and Eloise will all be on hand to help and guide you with veils , jewellery and general enquiries about your wedding out fit. We will be enjoying a bit of happy music, a glass of wine and of course there will be EASTER EGGS.

We cant wait, especially as Ruth will be dressed up as an easter bunny.

SHOES SHOES SHOES

Okay, so we know that I am a bridzilla that owns a wedding shop, we also know that I adore vintage glamour and gorgeous jewellery and we also know that I am a shoe-aholic. So when I stumbled across a new shoe designer called Harriet Wilde I quite literally went wild for her collection. They are vintage glam meets 50s style in a bridal shoe. I am in love with a pair called Mable (see picture), they are so very stylish with a peep toe and a concealed platform, it features Harriet’s signature 50’s inspired net flower trim. Beautifully crafted from the finest Italian satin and featuring the delicate net overlay. They will look amazing with a real 50s feel gown or vintage dress. They have also been Featured in You & Your wedding and Perfect Wedding as THE shoe to be seen in.

Anyway, back to the point of my blog entry and that is that the lovely Harriet has agreed to come to the boutique with her entire collection to show all the girls attending the Accessory party.
